How to Freeze a Row in Google Sheets

  1. On your computer, open a spreadsheet in Google Sheets.
  2. Choose a row or column you want to freeze or unfreeze.
  3. At the top, find ‘View‘ and click ‘Freeze’.
  4. Select how many rows or columns to freeze.

  1. Open your spreadsheet in Google Sheets in a web browser.
  2. Select the cells you want to merge (2 or more).
  3. Choose “Format” from the menu bar.
